About Kristin
Kristin, a San Diego native, was born and raised in Mira Mesa. Kristin attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. After graduating from UCLA, Kristin moved to New York to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an attorney.
Passionate about protecting the rights of those often overlooked, Kristin enrolled at Brooklyn Law School in New York. Before starting law school, she spent two years working in the field of corporate bankruptcy, specializing in Chapter 11 cases. Kristin continued her work in corporate bankruptcy throughout law school.
After earning her law degree, Kristin joined a Park Avenue bankruptcy firm. While she excelled in corporate bankruptcy, she realized her true calling was helping individuals and families. In 2008, Kristin returned to San Diego and shifted her focus to consumer bankruptcy. Since then, she has helped file more than 2,000 Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, earning a reputation for her straightforward, no-nonsense approach and unwavering advocacy. Her tenacity and commitment have made her well known and highly respected by local Bankruptcy Judges and Trustees.
Kristin is admitted to practice law in the States of California and New York, and before the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for California’s Southern and Central Districts, New York’s Southern and Eastern Districts, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
